My name is Kari Marugg and I am in my sixth year as a speech and language pathologist. I graduated from Pacific University with my Bachelors in Education in 2015 and my Masters in Speech and Language Pathology in 2017. I also received a minor degree in Spanish and have been to Ecuador, Chile and Mexico to practice the language and study the culture.
I have the certificate of clinical competence from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association and am licensed in the state of Oregon. I work primarily in the school setting but have spent time in skilled nursing facilities and now private practice. I really enjoy working with the pediatric population and have specific interests in speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and feeding disorders. I especially enjoy working closely with parents in the private practice setting in order to help them feel confident to continue to support communication progress at home.
My husband and I moved to Carlton in 2019, and love living in a small town. Outside of work I enjoy training Jiu Jitsu, gardening, rockhounding, DIY projects, playing with my dogs and outside adventures with my husband.
