Jamie earned her BS and MA in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Central Florida. She holds the national Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed in the state of Oregon.
Jamie has a true passion for helping children and their families reach their potential. She has 23 years of experience providing evidenced-based therapy to clients of all ages in a variety of settings including clinic, school, home and community. She also worked for two years in Japan at preschools, elementary schools and a middle school. Along with her natural ability to connect with children, she is committed to providing relationship-based intervention and following a child’s lead through the therapeutic process to obtain the best outcome. She has attended extensive training in the STAR Autism Program© (Strategies for Teaching Based on Autism Research), Project IMPACT, the Kauffman Speech to Language Protocol for Apraxia of speech, and is PROMPT trained. Jamie has special interests in the areas of Autism, language development, articulation/phonological disorders and Apraxia.
Jamie has presented research in the area of phonological disorders at the American Speech-Hearing Association's national conference. She has also presented on the topic of emergent literacy at the Oregon State Positive Behavioral Intervention Support Conference.
When she is not working with children, Jamie enjoys camping, hiking and traveling. She lives in Dundee with her husband, two sons, five chickens, and an Australian Shepherd.
